My Mission: The Perfect Purpose

God is the Giver-of-life. In all those times when I’ve doubted God’s plan for me, He’s reminded me that I’m treasured, that I have a purpose, and that He loves and chose ME. He wanted ME. God could have chosen one of the two babies that my mom miscarried right before my life started...but He wanted to use me in this world. If that’s not an absolutely incredible and reassuring thought to think about, I don’t know what is. Why am I here on this earth? Why did God make me and choose me? These questions may be hard to wrap our mind around, but God has blessed with me a story and experiences to share with the world.
God has gifted me a unique mission and call. During my Sophomore year of college, I was studying about God's providence and I loved it! I ended up praying for God to allow me to experience something, even a hardship, so that I could encourage and help others through something similar (silly Katie). In the Fall of 2015, I felt God specifically call me to wait. I didn’t know exactly what He meant by this, but I knew that He wanted me to wait. I was writing a Discipleship series on the topic of waiting, and it was geared towards youth girls in the context of relationships. I had picked the topic because I had become passionate about it, and in writing the series, fell absolutely in love with it. I knew I wanted to write it as a book. It was during that time that I felt God calling me to wait. I was a little surprised because I thought..."aren't I already waiting?" but I knew that He really wanted me to experience waiting in every way possible, the struggle included, so that I could fully understand how to better influence and encourage girls through the wait. How could I encourage girls unless I went through the things I wanted to encourage them in and about?
God has shown me so much through the suffering of waiting on His timing in all seasons, that I believe that it’s my mission to be a light and influence young girls to live for Jesus in the midst of the wait.
I’m here to point others to Christ. I’m here to be a light for His Kingdom. I’m here to be used as a pen in the hand of the Author of life! God's purpose for my life is perfect.
